Peggy Joyce (Schwake) Benedict, 76, passed away on April 9, 2026, in Poplar Grove, Illinois. She was born in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to William and Anita (Messmann) Schwake on February 19, 1950. Peggy graduated from Woodstock High School in the class of 1968. She worked at Union Special in Huntley, Illinois for many years. She also worked at Follett Library Resource in McHenry for several years. She enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, and listening to country music. She loved her family, her cats, and the Chicago Cubs. Robert (Bob) Webster, 85, of Woodstock, passed away peacefully on Dec. 15, 2025, at Valley Hi Nursing Home. He was born on April 21, 1940, in Harvard, Ill., to Bernard and Eleanor Webster. Dale E. Stolldorf Sr., a hard working and loving family man, passed away on March 17th, 2026 in his granddaughter Jessica’s home, surrounded by loved ones and laughter. Dale dedicated 45 years of his life to the Eagle Food Chain, where he was admired for his unwavering work ethic and steady presence. Before beginning his long career, he proudly served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962. Donna Mae Dobbratz (née Schuring), 88 of Woodstock, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Valley Hi Nursing Home in Woodstock. She was born on Sept. 8, 1937, in Belvidere, Ill., to Lester and Irene (née Sawallisch) Schuring. She married Harold C. Dobbratz on Nov. 1, 1958, in Marengo, Ill. Donna worked for Oak Industries in Crystal Lake and the Lampshade Factory in Woodstock until they closed, and she ended her career at Automatic Liquid Packaging in Woodstock. She was an avid milk glass collector and loved to show off her latest piece being prominently displayed. (Charles) David Pierce, beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed on from this life on March 22nd, 2026, at the age of 93.  David was born in Geneva, IL to Hazel (Earl) and Theodore Pierce. He graduated from Jacksonville High School in 1950 and studied Music Education at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). Gordon James Dunnett Sr. of Woodstock passed away on March 21, 2026. He was 76 years old. He was married to Nancy Dunnett (Miller) for 46 years until she passed away in 2014. He had two children and three grandchildren. Gordy spent his career excavating, and his true passion was restoring antique tractors, hobby farming, and raising farm animals with his granddaughters. His love of tractors was passed down to his son and grandson, who carry on the renovation of antique tractors in their spare time. He loved playing checkers with his grandkids. Joanne Irene (Howard) Boppart, 84, of Harvard, died peacefully in her home surrounded by family on Feb. 25, 2026. She was born on May 28, 1941, in Harvard, the daughter of George and Ellen (Walsh) Howard. Joanne earned her master’s degree in business education from Northern Illinois University. On June 13, 1964, she married the love of her life, Eugene Boppart, at St. Patrick Church in Hartland. Together, they celebrated 61 beautiful years of marriage. Denis J. Moeller, 83, of Woodstock passed away at home comfortably, peacefully, and surrounded by his loving family, on Feb. 23, 2026.  Affectionately known as “Denny” and “Grandpy,” he was born in Chicago and grew up in Mount Prospect.
